🏋️ Sitting in squat position

Can you sit in a squat position for longer time without falling or without any pain? If yes, you are under the few people especially in the western world who can do this.

But believe me. In some point of your life it was no problem for you. Because this is a natural human rest position which relieves the pressure on the back. People in other cultures still sit like this for hours without any problems. Our body just forget how to do this because we are sitting all day.

Try to sit 30 minutes throughout the day in this position. You can do this anywhere. Just let your timer run on your phone every time your go down.

Depending on your fitness level doing this challenge can overtax your body. Build in rest days so your body can adapt to the new situation.

Normally there is no situation during the day I need to sit in a squad position (only in the gym doing squats), so it was hard at the beginning to sit like this. But after 30 days it gets better and better. This position is still no resting position for me like it should be, but the overall feeling in my knees is definitely better and my mobility has improved. I usually was sitting in this position during my breakfast in the morning and at the evening. During the day I usually forget to do it. Sometimes I did it in public places. I think I won't sit in this position for so long during the day but I will definitely try to sit in a squat position while brushing my teeth or eating breakfast. This challenge will definitely help you to improve your squat technique and your mobility. I can recommend it!
